The Robotic Head Cutting Machine is a custom-engineered SPM designed specifically to cut long members such as formed rectangular tubes. It pairs a 6-axis GA50 robot with a linear track — giving seven axes of motion — and a 3 kW IPG fiber laser fitted with a 360° autofocus head, so the laser reaches every face of the tube without re-clamping or repositioning.
Controlled by the Yaskawa YRC1000 controller and fed directly from your 3D CAD step files, the system holds center-to-center hole distances to 0.5 mm and concentricity within 0.2 mm across both walls. Unlike the earlier XLS model, it integrates both the robotic head and the fixture in one smart unit — replacing slow multi-machine 5-axis machining with a single, faster, in-house operation.
